"This was a wonderful experience for our group. Initially, I was very skeptical about the level of participation we would get from the group. Many of these young men have rarely been any farther than their neighborhoods and their school. They were scared. And this fear often express itself in exaggerated bravado. I know it was difficult to get the group to focus at the end of the session for processing of the experience, but believe me the team building activities made an impact. We identified leaders that do not yet know they have leadership ability. In our remaining GAP sessions we will make sure that they know that we saw this potential. "I think the cost of taking a day out of training, as well as the hard dollar expense, was well worth the benefit the analysts and associates, as well as the Bank, gained from this experience. You were able to accomplish in a day, what would have taken us all summer to accomplish, if we were able to accomplish this level of team building at all.
