How much does professional photography cost to cover our
event?
What does it cost?
The more you bring the less it costs. We like to
talk and discuss objectives, time on the property and
the type of group you have. This can be achieved with a
phone call to Michael Valentine at 704-236-6729 or
1-800-701-0225.
How young or old do you have to be to do this?
Our youngest has been 5 years old and our oldest was 76
years old. Each situation is unique and we always
challenge by choice.
Am I too
big or too small to do this?
We have had some of the smallest 5 year olds and some of
the largest men use our event center. Our cables are
rated at 10,500 pounds and we haven't seen anyone that
exceeds that yet.
Why does a private experience work better than a public
one?
A private experience is all we offer! This means that we
work just with your group on a given block of time and
we do not accept walk ins. Having a private 10 acre
facility all to yourself is huge when it comes to
confidence building, team building, meetings, zip
experiences, not waiting in lines and other activities
we provide. For schools and church groups it means that
you will know who is at our facility because you brought
them.
Where are you?
We are in Monroe North Carolina not far from Monroe
Country Club. Surrounded by over 500 acres of farm land
our 10 acre facility sits on a private lake. Built just
8 years ago as an event center with input from thousands
of our guests. We are happy to provide more information
by calling Michael Valentine at 704-236-6729.
What should we
bring or wear?
Bring closed toed shoes like tennis shoes or hiking
boots and comfortable clothes.
Download our waiver and sign it or have an adult
sign if you are under 18. Possibly a change of clothes.
How much time does
it take?
Some of our groups spend one hour with us while others
spend multiple days. Our lodge is available for rental
and this enables our guests to stay longer and
experience more.
A corporate event may be all day with meeting time
included. A family of two or more may spend just
an hour or two on site. Some of our schools and youth
groups stay overnight and camp for multiple days.
When should I
make a reservation?
Some events are Booked a year in advance while others
are scheduled on a last minute basis. If you are a
school we encourage you to plan ahead. Corporate events
can be a last minute thing to a long planned out
function. Families can find available time slots much
easier since we are typically working with smaller
numbers and less time.
How do we hold a date?
An event form found with this
link enables us to plan your time with us and it
places you in pencil on our calendar. A
$200 deposit for companies. a
$400 deposit for overnight, a
30% deposit for large groups and a prepay normally for
small families works.
What will my event
include?
Your event can include just the zip line adventure with
The Indiana Jones Bridge or a complete high adventure
program. For Corporations, Schools and Church Groups
Diana Valentine is your event coordinator helping you
with pricing, planning and food service. Diana is also
one of your lead facilitators making sure that the event
goes as planned.
Who
works with our group on our event day?
For the past 7 years Michael and Diana Valentine have
developed Xtreeme Challenge into a premiere Team
Building Facility. Together they are your lead
facilitators along with a trained staff. In some cases
Michael will be your guide for small groups. For larger
groups we employ a team of trained professionals who
work side by side with your group.
What is The Challenge Course Association and why is that
a big deal?
The Challenge Course Association assures you that
standards are in place for creating activities that are
safe. Guidelines are in place that control inspections,
insurance liability and waivers. The association governs
trends in the industry and looks at products for the
industry to use.
Does it cost anything for parking and what about food?
We do not charge for buses, cars or vans. We provide
suggestions for food service and can coordinate every
aspect of your meals with us. You could also determine
that you wish to handle this yourself and we are fine
with that. Others prefer to have a combination of both.
What if we
want to spend the night?
We provide on site lodging in a few different formats
for your event. Some like The Lodge that overlooks our
lake. Sleeps 10 in an open loft type format with no
distinct rooms. The bunk house/multi purpose room has
slept up to 40 additional people in a loft type style.
We also have tent camping available or a mix of all of
the above. A bath house is
available in addition to our bath inside the lodge.
For those wanting other
accommodations we have a relationship with The Hampton
Inn 6 miles away or Ballantyne Resort for unmatched
excellence.
Can we do our
meeting on site?
We provide meeting space in several formats. Our lodge
comfortably seats about 15 people while our multi
purpose room seats about100. The multi purpose room is
built in a pavilion style with sliding doors that open
and shut.
This link shows the
Monroe
Country Club Ballroom that is just 3 miles away and
is our partner site. Seating for 200 with a cost of just
$125 per hour or a day rate of less than $600. We can
set up tables and chairs as part of the cost and a
working lunch can be brought in.
How do I cost justify this for my company or get my
school to approve team building at Xtreeme Challenge?
Corporations can cost justify a day out of the office by
the results they will see. In as little as 2-4 hours at
our center you will learn more about your staff than in
any other format. Transparency is the goal of each
activity. We strip away the facades that cover up
communication, trust, camaraderie and replace that with
corporate takeaways that reveal worth and value of each
employee. Clean fresh air is also invigorating.
For schools we teach students to trust, new ways to
think outside of books, we open minds to new ideas and
reveal students to teachers. We break down road blocks
to learning and open lines of communication in just a
couple hours. It's amazing how quickly this will become
your annual field trip once you experience it.
Why is The Challenge Walk unique to Xtreeme Challenge?
After working side by side with thousands of event
participants it became clear the the industry was stuck
in a mold. That mold meant that event venues all looked
the same. They called them the same, did the same things
yet failed in many ways.
The Challenge Walk
has the power to engage over 240 people simultaneously
in a golf type format. This form of engagement involves
critical thinking with a score card and a challenge
card. Golf has risk rewards with its score card but
fails to deliver a team building result with just one
winner. We develop winners at every level with 12
activities all linked together and account for your
every action as a team. This makes what we do unique and
your primary payoff for cost justifying time with us.
Why should our group do The Great Raft Adventure?
This link to The
Great Raft Adventure is not about sailing a raft but
about team building. Anyone can build or float on a raft
but it's how you do it that counts as team building.
True team building is about discussions, trial and
error, re-working, not being afraid to make suggestions.
It's about failing and learning from it. It's also about
doing all of this in a fun and safe environment.
What is
The Outdoor Adventure Trail?
Follow this link for additional information about
The Outdoor Adventure Trail. 14 check points, a
custom adventure map, special clues and adventures all
focused on team building. Groups up to 200 can enjoy the
trail all at once. Teams use material selections found
on the trail to build a vehicle by hand with no tools
and transport cargo on a special mission. Each event is
customized based on the group.
Why should we select this venue over bowling, paint
ball, laser tag, a camp or another fun event?
If your group tells you they just want to have fun then
we are the right place. That is our number one by
product fun! But along the way we will mask our true
goal for your day. That goal will be to develop your
group into true leaders. Its impossible to find a leader
when paint balls are flying ,people are shooting at you,
racing in a go cart or rolling a bowling ball at pins.
Great fun but never more! Those that just want to have
fun probably don't know the real value of what we
provide and will be pleasantly surprised and once they
attend always tell friends about a new discovery they
experienced. We are about new discoveries!
Why is your zip
lines better?
Our twin mega zip lines
where engineered with gravity in mind. We ask our riders
to do nothing. They do not have to hold on because our
harness does it for them. They can't release in mid air.
We don't give you gloves to slow it down. The nice part
about our lines is the view. We sail 300 and over 400
feet back and forth gently over our lake. We also
simplified the entry process into a zip line by
developing our
Indiana Jones Bridge.
The last benefit is that when you book with us we make
you our only client for that day or time slot. When was
the last time you went to an amusement park and they
escorted you to first in line and let you pick out your
seat?
We do this every time!
What is a canopy tour?
A canopy tour is a series of High Ropes Course
Adventures placed together to provide an event that
challenges you while wearing a harness, life line and
helmet. Trained facilitators walk you through each
element or activity. The canopy is natural oak trees
with beautiful shade from leaves. True tree hugging
happens at our facility.
Our tour develops trust, leadership and invigorates by
challenging individuals to push to a new level.

event?
